Default Copo Camaro

I need some help, I recently bought a 1969 Camaro with no history to it, It was an x44 car from Norwood, with a 4 speed transmission. the car has been gutted and put back together with the wrong interior, and drive train. I recently ran the vin and it comes up saying the car is a copo camaro. I find it hard to believe but it has some features of a copo. 3/8" fuel line, 4 speed transmission, power disc brakes, larger hole in firewall, cowl induction hood. How can i find out if this car truly is a copo or just a regular camaro?

I suggest you read this. Post details of the car on CRG. Someone will respond.

The VIN indicates a COPO? Is it a Canadian car?

I would get the shipping documents from NCRS / Musclecar docs and provide the body #/ order #. Is the VIN close to and COPOs listed in our registry?

What dealer? I'm getting a feeling you are just playing games. You ask questions but already know the answers.

Chazbo…. I have read your information and we are here to help you, but the proof needs to be provided by yourself in order to get help from the great folks of this site and being limited with your information shows up a red flag on our behalf we are here to help, but we are not here to help document something that you can’t help with .

Not trying to be funny or anything generally do not have anything other the car was sold to Hess Chevy in Texas and the vin ends in 640592 which falls between cars shown on this site. I literally have nothing else for this car, no paperwork or anything

Chazbo, you said “car has been gutted and put back together with the wrong interior, and drive train”. While it may have been born a COPO (which is hard to prove without documentation), the factory part that mattered the most to make it a COPO isn’t there anymore. However, posting pictures of the VIN and Trim tag might be helpful. Also, photos of the gutted car with markings or stamps of any kind might also help. JMHO.
