(Not to be confused with the Chevrolet dealer installed A/C kit that wouldn’t be as extensive as a factory setup as far as equipment and mods to the dash, etc) It sounds like it was quite a rare option (someone suggests 500 or less) and you have to figure that most of those were likely in loaded 4 door sedans and wagons. One guy talks about needing 8 years to piece together all of the components for a restoration and the projected cost of buying parts then making it functional. I bet having what looks like a complete system along with the “AC” on the trim tag makes the A/C a +20k add on this Nomad. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the bids hit $60k. |
