That one is pretty much the Holy Grail of '67 Corvettes. Wonder how many millions that will go for?

This is a beautiful L88 with paperwork. It will be good to see it again. It went through Barrett Jackson a number of years ago.

I remember seeing this car at Bloomington Gold back in 1993 when the Naber brothers just completed its restoration. It was absolutely stunning. It only received a silver at the time because the owner found an over the counter L88 stamped block (correctly dated) and refused to stamp the vin on the pad. When asked why he didn't stamp the vin he said "if I do that it not only raises questions about this car but every other car I have owned or will own" I wish more people had those values. I hope it breaks the bank!

The Sunfire car (the only one built in that color) was involved in a significant towing incident in '69. Much of its original body has been replaced with donor, NOS or good used items. Incredibly, it is the only '67 L88 to retain its born-with engine.

The white Cliff Gotlob L88 has its original engine. The sun fire yellow L88 also has a validated tank sticker.
A local friend put a 1969 L88 long block in his L88 and chose the same route by not stamping the VIN of the car on the Tonawanda long block. That turned out to be a great decision when a wonderful member of this site found the actual ORIGINAL engine for his car. The Tonawanda long block with a factory stamp would have been ruined with a fake VIN stamped on it. |
