			 So how successful was the 1969 Swinger 340? 16,000 made. This was a turn key junior muscle car. All you needed to add option wise was a radio. You had to deal with no power brakes or steering but hey - this was 1969 when men were men! And dog dish hubcaps were stylish in 1969. Best of all - no high insurance premiums as it wasn't listed as a "true" muscle car with it's 275 (yeah right) horsepower. Both the 340 Magnum and the 428 Cobra jet share one thing - ridiculously under-rated HP.
