That’s what I thought. Was the embossed an assembly line filter. Still yet, what’s my friends new filter worth?

Without sounding rude, probably about $20-25 so someone can have a filter that appears as an assembly line version.

For reference, here's an NOS version similar to yours that hasn't been painted.
