One of my customers called a dealer service rep in on a Saturday and Sunday to flash all his trucks computers to limit the speed to 62mph. Their travel is 99% on two lane roads and local, none of the drivers was aware of the change, thus the change being made on Saturday and Sunday.

The phone was ringing all day on Monday to his service manager with power complaints from the drivers.

If they’re going to govern all the big trucks they need to limit them to right lane only, or they’ll have traffic tied up worse than it is now with two of them driving side by side.

That's why I didn't want to buy a Hellcat Superstock or Demon. They are speed limiter restricted to 168mph (due to the 18" drag radials). The Redeye with 20" wheels is limited by aerodynamic factors only. (200 mph).

Doesn't matter to me, We are still driving 50-60 year old classics and will continue to do so. Not even remotely interested in anything new.

On the long mountain climbs around here, they are already supposed to be limited to right lane only per law, but that doesn't stop them from going 30 mph side by side up the mountain, thereby clogging up traffic, and sometimes even causing accidents with cars that come around the corner at 65 mph and can't stop in time. And coming up the mountain, there is no where else to go, no emergency lane, no room to make any evasive maneuvers when necessary. But, these truckers still do it every day.
