Thanks guys! I'm pretty proud of it... It's not a "super car" but it is my super car

Long way to haul it, but it would be a star attraction in a Day 2 display at MCACN... ![]()

Mark and Pete, thank you! I’ve been getting a lot of compliments on the body/paint. Especially on the gold!
Bill, thank you very much! That’s a HUGE compliment! As I previously mentioned, Grady’s car was a heavy inspiration for this car!! Mike, I only have about 150 miles on it but the headers still look great! Bright white. Mitch, I’ve been wanting to go to MCACN but have never been. I really want to get out there this year, not sure about bringing my car though. I plan on driving this car! I read about the Day 2 section on the MCACN website. My car would never qualify for that. Way too many modern components: exhaust system with electric cutouts, frame connectors, msd ignition, auto gear trans, moser rear etc… seems they’re very strict on keeping it real Day 2, which I completely understand. I’m sure there’s a class for the car but I’m not sure if I want to go through the logistics of bringing the car out there… Last edited by Chuck_Burg; 03-11-2022 at 04:40 AM. Reason: Typo |

Wrong!!! You want to take your car to MCACN, you will not regret the logistics and costs, and it will be the best weekend of your car life….. trust me I have dragged my car from another country twice and don’t regret a second, or a penny!!! We all want to see this gold/gold beast!!! Trust me!!! Ryan W31

I know I would love to be at MCACN... It's just a big expense to have the car there, I'm sure it would be a very memorable experience.
Anyways, here is my new acquisition. This is my 1967 Chevelle SS 396 L78. Many of you probably know this car. My father purchased this car a few years back and was ready to sell it, so I sold my 68 Camaro and bought this from him. This is the car Curt Biro restored about 12-13 years ago and showed the car at many national events including AACA and MCACN shows. The car has a neat history and is well documented with the original POP and what I believe to be the original drivetrain. I plan on driving this car periodically. The engine, rebuilt by yours truly and some friends, is rebuilt to stock specs, yes requires 100+ octane leaded fuel. Very fun to drive, loves to rev! For me, it does not get much better than this dynamic duo of 1967 Chevrolets. |

That last shot is kind of an iconic one- the black tail panels and black/yellow plates on a couple ‘67s really pop together like that
