I worked at the Sunoco, it was .37 a gallon. I would put some gas in there and then go to the city limit (Toronto) at Victoria Park and fill the tank for .32 a gallon....They were open SUNDAYS,.....OMG You could not buy gas in the city of Toronto on Sunday, had to drive to Scarborough (Victoria Park)

Sure our gas is heavily taxed but a lot goes towards help fund our O.H.I.P.

I worked at a Gulf station here in California back in the early 1970's during the summer when I was going to college. I don't remember actual numbers but I think all 3 grades were in the low to mid .40's. I loved working there as the owner was a nice guy and appreciated all his employees.

I remember paying 24.9 cents/gallon in August 1968 at a Shell station. It was one of a 4 corner gas station location who were having a price war with each other. $5 to fill my 64 Impala's 20 gallon tank.

This week I paid more than last week. I'll probably be able to re-post this for the next 8 months.

It's not just gasoline prices that are rising. So is Home Heating Oil and Propane. Winter heating bills set to jump as inflation hits home Quote:

When I bought my 1965 GTO, I got extensive records that the original owner kept. This shows that on Sept. 15, 1965, he paid 33 cents a gallon for what I assume was premium. Not sure where this is, but he bought the car in Elmira NY.
