			Hi Gang,

Listing this here for the owner of the car first. I will list for sale with a proper sales ad after I take some more photos / don't hear from the owner of VIN 124379L554152 Would like to see them reunited first. I've also cross posted in the Orphans Thread here. 3956618 casting - cast date of February 3 1969 stamped V0207DZ Standard bore still! Cheers all, Anthony |

Going to be tough to match this block up. LOS VINs only went as high as 9L531163.

A February stamped block would have a VIN 9L52XXXX. Maybe just the second digit in the VIN is messed up. - Warren |

			RUH ROH!!

I do see that now after a quick Google-ing... So, what does everyone think? This a fugazi stamping or an error - I gotta admit, if spurious, it fooled me! Thoughts?! And THANKS Warren! Cheers, Anthony |

a mirror image 5 might look like a 2 in a gang stamp holder after hitting 65 of them in an eight hour shift... could the second "5" be in place of a correct "2"?

either way... let's hear theories and or comments on the pad / stamping before I abandon this. Thanks again, in advance all. Anthony |

That's one of two known block VIN stamp anomalies at Van Nuys February/March 69. VIN on the chassis would have been 124379L524152.

Not in the db, does not come up on a Google search.

Interesting, thanks Kurt, as in, they are "554" when they should've been "524"?

Makes sense, as I assume it wouldn't have been noticed right away, even though it 'should've been'... Either way Gang, I don't own this block anymore; thanks for all the messages about it! Cheers everyone, Anthony |
