| Couple of 69Z Questions

Looking for an solid, educated, and experienced opinion on a couple of items. I am looking at a car that appeals to me quite a bit. Having said that, there is an item I am looking for a stronger opinion than mine, This engine deck.......obviously it has been slightly decked. But, by what I can find, the font seems to be correct (I did find another Jan 7th deck). Opinions? Thoughts? Last edited by napa68; 06-08-2021 at 04:19 PM. |

I do not like the stamp myself. The fonts do not look right to me. Hard to see the bumper in that image Tim? Got any better pics?

You need Kurt S or Mike Jones to look at that one. I see one issue that bothers me a bit, but another that makes me think it is real.

From what I can see due to the slight decking, it looks ok.

It does not compare with a another genuine V0107DZ stamping.

I found this, and felt while the font was diminished from the decking by comparison, it looked ok to this one. I don't have a data base like some of you hence why I put it out here.

IMHO the zeros and the V are different - spacing as well. The zeros in the lower stamp are much more round. Less long oval - Beautiful car... I've got a soft spot for Black RS/Z's with cowl hoods and enduras... there isn't a better looking car

----Many times endura bumpers just need a lot of time spent adjusting. ----Is it possible that there were letter "O's" and different number "0's and maybe the stamper grabbed the wrong one?....Bill S Last edited by olredalert; 06-08-2021 at 01:08 PM. |
