Stamp opinions
Can you guys give me some opinions of this dz engine stamp? Early car so it has the vin there as well.

Broach marks are there admittedly - but I don't know that I have ever seen a stamp that is that deep or that well defined that was ever deemed to be an original one..
There is also some ghosting and evidence of another stamp under the first few characters - plus the DZ suffix itself looks to me to have been stamped with a larger font than the rest of the other characters - but I admit I'm certainly no expert of any kind and maybe there are known reasons or exceptions for all of what I see here as oddities.. Hopefully others will chime in here and add more comments.. |

Stamping looks legit to me. I have another 1121 stamping that looks exactly the same.

Just curious. I saw it on Facebook marketplace briefly and it was sold within a day. The stamping looked familiar.
