It IS winter, what you doin' still here ... We have a vrbo reserved in Homosassa in Feb. Can't wait to get out of the snow and cold for a couple weeks. Way too late for the auction, but I'm in Lynn's place anyway. Dumped all our disposable cash in a move and new pole building last year.

It looks like there are now more pictures and information on the cars on Mecum's website. Some of the cars even have documentation posted. Here is a picture of the 66 GTO convertible and it's PHS documentation. It looks like this one wasn't originally black. Last edited by mrays; 01-01-2021 at 06:44 PM. |

Here's the window sticker for the 1 of 1 known "L89" 68 Chevelle SS.

The silver 69 Camaro is the one I saw at the Goodguys in Columbus in '06 and the Super Chevy Show in St. Louis in '12. Here is all the "documentation" for it being a Berger sold COPO Camaro. The last Berger COPO Camaro is N649339.

That's a shame. Trim tag is an obvious fake. Would like some input from Paul re: the window sticker. Are the rest of the docs also fake?

[QUOTE=Too Many Projects;1529595]It IS winter, what you doin' still here ... LOL - Up north with the fam for the holidays. Driving back down to FL soon. Stopping on the way to check in with James on the Pace Car resto progress. Looks like a lot of fake/incorrect stuff going through the Musclecar City sale. Owner is probably keeping the best cars for his personal collection. |

| Berger Camaro POP Quote:
The POP has the current Grand Rapids zip code, this is not the 1969 Berger zip code. |

All of the documents shown for the alleged Berger COPO are reproduction. Poorly done, to say the least. N672561 was final-assembled on or about August 19, not September 23. The body number on the w/s is for ZL1 #3. For '69 options were listed in alphabetical order, by ECL. Floor mats [B37] are listed after D55; U63, PL5 and N40 are also out of order. The destination charge is incorrect; most likely was $26.45 as seen on real Berger docs for a Z/28 and COPO. The w/s and shippers copy were part of a multi-layer carbon paper form. All the system-generated info was identical. These two don't match. The w/s is missing the dealer order number seen on the shipper; the body numbers differ. Many of the errors appear to have been copied from the really bad repro w/s that was displayed with ZL1 #3 many years ago. Photo on page 200 of John Hooper's 1969 Camaro book. At least they had the decency to label it a replica.
