Oh Yea! Many times I crisped my (and others) legs on the pipes. All it takes is to just put your leg in slightly the wrong angle to hit the hot spot!

A set of sidepipes would really separate someone’s day-two Camaro from all the posers ;-]

I had those installed on my 70 Z-28 in high school circa 1980-81. Hooker made them plus had the Hooker 4 point chrome bolt in roll bar and the orange NMW ladder bars. Pete Jackson gear drive, tunnel ram, etc. Lucky the original LT-1 and M-22 survived all of that.

Believe Hooker had the only true 4 into one side exhaust for 2nd gen. Camaros at the time. My prom date burned her leg on the side pipes and had a scar as a reminder. Those things were deadly if you didn't watch it. Fun times. Last edited by COPO; 08-23-2020 at 06:13 PM. |
