Might I suggest you try calling local courier trucking agencies in the Michigan/Ohio area? I found a set of vintage tires in Iowa City and the guy was not interested in shipping. I called a tri state courier that ran 3-ton delivery trucks through Iowa, Minnesota and the Dakotas.
For about $60 they picked up the tires and hopped them up into North Dakota for me which was awesome. I am sure there are a few small courier outfits that haul the mail between MI and OH on a daily basis and could move those tires for you on the cheap. Hope you get them in time for SCR
