I live about 20 miles from the old Yenko dealership and bought one of those L78 short blocks back then for $250. They were advertised in the Pittsburgh Press. Put it in a 67 Chevelle SS that I had cracked a cylinder in. After driving a few miles it started rapping. After talking with Don Yenko he agreed to put another short block in for $250.
