Amazing condition for a car that was restored nearly 40 years ago. Love the VE3 and console 8-track. Unfortunately, no mention in the auction as to what's original and what isn't, but overall, one of the most desirable color combos for a '69 Z IMO.

			Fender stripes are incorrect, right?

Odds are very few Z/28s built with D96. As of 9/12/68 they were no longer included on style trim Z/28s but remained optional. As of January '69, no longer optional.

Car in question was built on or about January 31 and would not have had them.

Originally would have been red, black stripes, red interior.

----Apparently restored to the owners taste, and I have to say it's really good looking. Whoever ends up with this Z should dump that master cylinder though...….Bill S

NOT an original numbers-match driveline car.

I have a slot car in the same combo, and I've always wondered why the only '69 Camaro road car version you can get in a slot car is an "SS" with rally wheels and Z stripes that are the wrong color! Seeing the Revell box that this car featured on, I wonder if the owner painted in a color he preferred in the '80s then somehow this car became the reference for both Revell and Scalextric...
