Can't say I have ever seen a Heavy with an original 3-speed manual trans on the column; I would have guessed floor shift was standard. Yet, here it is, with the original dealer invoice...pretty cool.

Starting bid of $9500 is, shall we say, ambitious.

Very ambitious! A comparable 1970 Chevelle would be hard pressed to bring that in the same condition. Good luck to the seller though and hope he does well.

A friend of mine had a heavy Chevy and it was a loaded bench seat car with a 402 th 400

He stripped it and put all the goodies in his ss chevelle I tried to convince Him otherwise ..what a shame it was much rarer Than the ss chevelle and I’m better shape. It had the ss dashboard with gauges UGH!

Looks like the salesman did well to get the 30 for the undercoating.

Cool stripped out Heavy Chevy! For those unfamiliar, the Heavy Chevy's were only available with a bench seat- buckets could not be ordered. Because of this there was never a floor shift automatic available. SBC cars came standard with a 3-on-the-tree, and BBC cars came standard with a 3-speed on the floor.

This one appears to have the original '72 only base model (+ Heavy Chevy) door panels too. Although these look very rough they are extremely tough to come by.

I’ve wanted a Red Heavy Chevy forever. My first ride in a muscle car as a kid was in my uncle’s Red heavy chevy. I remember it like it was yesterday. I still have pictures of it when it was brand new. Rob
