Mine went to Otis Chandler, and then Rene's purple car went to Otis, too, IIRC for way more than $35K. I think more like $100K. Each successive sale would double the previous one because Otis at the time was paying whatever anyone was asking for the most rare musclecars with bulletproof provenance. He was a bazillonaire and was establishing his personal museum of "Transportation and Wildlife" to show his car collection and hunting trophies.

Steve, I recall the price because I purchased a 1970 440+6 4sp Dana 4.10 B5 Cuda. I seen the car in the fall and it went away for the Ontario winter. I knew of the owner and went to his farm to see the car February/March time. We agreed on $3,500.00 as he wanted more for it but no bites. Problem was he went off-shore oil work I think and was away when April/May came around. He called and said he's going to be away a while and offered my $500.00 deposit back. That is when I went and bought the '1968 GTX Rag clone I have mentioned. I NEVER seen the Cuda again after putting the $500.00 deposit down. I drove by the family farm, still in the same "SIR" name, wonder if it was just left in the barn????? Doubt it, but will have to stop by once these "lock-down" are removed.

I remember standing beside Rene's car and saying it was 10X what I was paying for a 440+6 Cuda.....But I bought my car a few years earlier.

Always wondered where it went and where it is today?

Nevermind, I see it is in Kevin Suydam hands now.
