Both rotor assemblies with steering arms, backing plates etc still intact had been removed from the car, and as the bolts were seized, I needed some way of holding the assemblies to stop rotation in opposite direction while undoing the bolts. So I used the 4-foot breaker bar as a reaction brace off the work bench, and then the rotor-to-hub bolts could be undone easily.
