1969 Big Block 396 & Matching TH400
396 big block engine casting number 3955272 with code 272. The block looks like it's had a ring job not too long ago (cross hatch still showing in the cylinder walls). It is a complete long block engine. I also have an oil pan and oval port truck heads that have been tuned for this engine. Also the matching 'short tailshaft' TH400 that goes with the engine is completely rebuilt for 500hp with heavy duty internals and a heavy duty torque converter.

What is the casting dates on the block/heads, engine suffix codes? Does it have a VIN stamped on it?
