|     What if GM had decided in 1969 to raise the engine limit instead of 1970. We would have had factory built RPO L72 and L88 SS Camaros. I find it interesting that the person that built this car picked Champagne - the least popular color of 1969. Everyone knows that in 1970 GM lifted the no greater than 400 CI engine limit. But did it help Chevrolet? IMO . . . no it didn't because the only car that got a greater than 400 CI Hi Performance engine was the Chevelle - the LS6 SS 454 and only 4,475 were made. No LS6 454 in the Camaro, Nova, Impala, Corvette or Monte Carlo. |
