| '68 Galaxie Fastback, Interesting CA Black Plate Car

Neat car although not particularly desirable...originally black with a tan interior, 6-cyl, and 3-speed stick on the column. If the seller's claim is true that all Galaxie fastbacks came standard with the V8, this is probably a rare car (but I'd have a 428 in it within a week of transferring the title). Link to 1968 Ford Galaxie Fastback auction |

The claims in the ad are not correct. 6cyl 3sp was standard on Customs and Galaxie 500s of all body styles. Galaxie 500XL’s however, did come with a V8/Auto as standard equipment that year. So XL fastbacks did come standard with V8s, but this Galaxie 500 with a 6 isn’t some weird delete option car, and I’m sure more than 50 were made.
