The transmission type had nothing to do with it.
I sold an NOS one few years ago with part #353021 on the box.It said 1972,1973,1974 Big Block Chevelle with Air Conditioning.
Think that short 6 digit # was a later superseded number though,as I know the 1971 BB A/C Chevelle used fan clutch #3989096 on the assembly line.
