I’m almost there as well and I’m curious for those who have retired what do you do for health insurance, and social security? Take it early or wait?

Depends on how early and does your employer now offer health Ins. after you retire? My wife is going to retire at 65 instead of 66. She said its about an 85 dollar a month difference in her SS. She will go back on my healthcare plan as her secondary and take medicare as her primary. My opinion is to take the money when you can get it.

Congrats Keith! I have been retired since age 50. The thing I remember saying the most is “How did I get all this stuff done when I had a job?”

Big congrats Keith!
Is this the end of an era for your family and the General or are your kids on board there too?
