Just got done with a redesign on a bamboo wall I built in front of our house years ago. The bamboo weathered pretty quickly and was going to be an s.o.b. to maintenance, so it had to go.
BEFORE: Nope, not happenin' anymore. ![]() AFTER: We still wanted to keep the tropical vibe, but also wanted the wall to be more "active", so I built a light box, which illuminates a pineapple silhouette with an orange flickering flame effect at night, along with two solar-powered torches. A water feature was also added, which has water flowing from 3 large bamboo pipes (heavely weather treated) and falling into a white clam shell. White gravel and red lava rock make the base, along with some greenery and blooms for a little color ![]() View from the sitting area. ![]() What the neighbors see. ![]() 1550 Last edited by Chick_Maggot; 01-31-2019 at 06:49 AM. |
