Today I received a call from a gentleman that I had been wanting to talk to...I left him a message a week ago and with the holidays he was finally able to return the call. His name is Rich Russo of Canonsburg Pennsylvania...he is a city councilman and is 63 years old. He was 12 years old in 1968 and worked for his dad (Patsy) at there Sunoco gas station in Canonsburg near Rt 519 / Rt 79. His job duties were to pump gas, wash cars and misc stuff at the 2 bay gas station. His father was 93 when he passed away a few years ago. At one point Patsy sold cars for Yenko Chevrolet. Rich recalled a few names of a couple salesmen at Yenko. I asked Rich about the 67 Yenko Camaro Conversion cars and what was done at their Sunoco station...he said “ the motor transplants were done at the Yenko dealership before they were sent to the Sunoco station”. The station was hired to do items such as rear end swaps, exhaust systems, tires etc. It was a pleasure talking to him and listening to his story with his father. Thanks to M.N. For his help in locating Rich.

interesting to hear about Rich Russo of Canonsburg
In my research, I heard about many people who did work for Yenko part time or full time many of them were either Don's SCCA racing buddies or fellow PA Corvette Club members |

Joe C. I think since Patsy work for Don selling cars that was a good inlet for him plus he had a gas station that was less than a mile away that made it convenient the good thing is Rich remembers this for and is dad doing work for Yenko
