I had a call on a telehandler “rough terrain fork lift “ one time low oil pressure, commercial roofers with the tar & hot mops owned, went to service the unit pulled the drain plug & the oil was as thick or thicker than tar .. Went and picked up 5 gallons of diesel fuel up & put 1/2 in & let it idle , drained that done it again filled with rotella oil pressure came back ... The customer was happy

During my youth I watched an old Buick owner "rinse" out his straight 8 engine during each oil change with diesel fuel ... never seemed to harm the engine. TAZ

My Dad used to that with the 235 in his '55 BelAir, also the "Babbit Beater" 216 in the '48 Pickup
