Here are a few items to consider;
-hose clamps should be the 'tower' style -master cylinder shown appears to be a 70 style...69 is shaped like a bathtub -battery cables need to be changed...also, not sure on 69 small block, but I believe the neg. cable bolts to the block, not the alt. bracket..?? -water pump bolts should be painted engine color -wilma

----What Tom said, plus, correct looking master cylinders are all over the place, but you need the correct stamping on the machined edge up front. Tom should have an idea what the two letters should be. As well, it would be good to find one dated within the correct parameters. Makes it a bit harder, but ultimately better.
You may already have the correct washers and bolts for the valve covers, but you might not. Ditto on the intake manifold bolts Can't quite see if the lock tabs are on the exhaust manifold to engine bolts, and are those bolts correct?. The tabs may or may not have been used. I'm not up on Nova stuff anywhere near as much as Tom.....Bill S Last edited by olredalert; 01-09-2018 at 05:13 PM. |
