That looks correct, right behind the distributor. That's where mine is located.

Mine is a NOR car. The assembly manual shows it in the same place, page 416(U17)... Shouldn't matter if it's a LOS or NOR Camaro.

| Oil line

For 1968, Norwood cars have the oil line to the left of the speedometer clip, LA cars have the oil line above the speedometer cable hole

NOR typically followed the AIM piercing location, LOS didn't.

The correct oil line hole for a Norwood car is the piercing dimple that is about 1 1/2 inches to right of the AIM piercing location.

Sometimes "IF" at ALL. My 12E 1968 Z has an OIL line that was jammed thru the Muncie Spedo grommet in the OH Sh!T fashion of a production line,,,,,,,,,,,NO GMAD punched Oil Hole at all for my gage equipped car..... seemed they leaned out and got her done 1 min faster Ha ha Jim

Mine too is a June car!! You would think all plants followed the manual, that's what they were printed for?? Make sure you install a grommet and paint the line flat black, for the factory used black oil lines.
