| Holley 4555 Secondaries

I fired up my Yenko this past weekend, but fuel is literally pouring into the secondaries, it will barely stay running. I pulled the carb, removed the fuel bowl and looks the matter!! Any insights as to what would cause such a fuel dump?!

Too much fuel pressure, crap in the needle/seat, float (if plastic) too heavy (absorded fuel). Just a few things to check ... Craig

As earntaz said, needle/seat or float issue most likely. Also make sure the secondary air bleeds are clean, modern gas gets gummy fast on cars that don't get driven frequently.

Especially if you don't use the secondary's much.

Ok, I'll just replace everything, I don't wanna mess around - plus it's a good tutorial for Benjamin to see how a Holley comes apart, and hopefully goes back together!

Has it been a while since it has been run? Sounds like stuck float to me. I've had this happen a couple of times. Fix might be as simple as opening float sight plug, and moving float up and down with a screw driver to free it up.

^^^^ Should be required reading for anyone that has a Holley carburetor.
