Thanks for that link. I hadn't been on this forum when that was posted, so wasn't aware of it. I've never seen that story in print, but did read 2 books within the last year from first person accounts of American military personnel and hospital staff left behind when the Japs over ran the Philippines and MacArthur was whisked away. There were, actually, 2 camps that had prisoners that were rescued from extermination. The Japs knew they were losing and weren't going to leave the prisoners, or evidence, of their atrocities.
