----If this beauty does not have the tow package it is good for 24MPG on the road. With the change in rear end ratio in the tow package mileage will decrease slightly t0 22-23. I'm a big believer in these LT1 battleships. They do everything well. I have owned a 94 Caprice wagon for roughly 10 years. Bought it with 50,000 on the clock and it now reads 174,000. It still gets 23 MPG on trips. In all that time the only two things that happened were distributer malfunctions and that was cured by 1996. While it would be a shame to add many miles to this Buick it will take anyone one on this board out to the end of their lives if so desired!......Bill S

We had a 64 wagon -- 283 w/spd OD ... great car. Used it to take my wife and daughter (and haul everything we owned) to WI from NM in 68. AF decided I needed to go back to Nam' again. While car was in Wi, my Mom and daughter were in it -- hit in the rear by another car ... it was totaled (Mom and daughter OK) !! TAZ
