The 67 and 68 L79 Chevelles are not seen very often, and most people don't know what they are looking at. Most people think they were made only in 65.

Probably because the L79 option in 67 and 68 was not a very popular option as compared to the SS396. Only 4048 in 1967 and 4082 in 1968. Now compare that to SS396 production: 64,000 in 1967 and 57,600 in 1968
