'71 GTO Judge Survivor Dealership Info Wanted
Hi guys,
I'm reaching out to you in hopes that someone may have additional information regarding the dealership my survivor '71 Judge came from. The car has been in Wisconsin (what, you can't tell it's a midwestern car?!) its whole life and was sold by Matousek Motors out of Reedsburg, Wisconsin. At first, I thought this car may have been an anomaly for a small town dealership, but I recently saw a '70 Judge over at Max Performance that also came from Matousek Motors. That got me thinking that maybe this dealership sold more than a few high performance GTOs. I've done some Internet sleuthing and know the basic history of Matousek Motors, its sale in the '70s, and ultimately, its closure and demolition several years back. Does anyone have additional information regarding whether the dealership regularly sold high performance Pontiacs? Also, if anyone has any Matousek Motors literature, badges, or other memorabilia, I might be interested in making a purchase. Thanks, guys. Jeff [/img] |

Cool! Hope you aren't planning a restoration. It has character as-is.

Re: '71 GTO Judge Survivor Dealership Info Wanted
Thank you for the kind words, guys. The body is currently off the frame and...
Just kidding. Everyone has their own opinion, but this Judge will remain as you see it as long as I'm caring for it. Although the car has some battle wounds, that's what makes it different from a restored car. The survivors each have their own story, with remaining scars titling each chapter. Sorry, I got a little poetic there, my apologies. Anyone out there with some Matousek Motors information? Jeff |
