Default Re: Winters Aluminum BB and Alum Heads info please

I did not articulate myself well
I am not trying to determine what team may or may not have run the motor I was just putting it out there that this block may have never been in a street car.
Most interested in determining if it is worth it to get the block dialed in or since there are newer and most likely better aluminum blocks available is this one, and heads, even worth the time money and effort?
I also thought some of the stampings may mean something to someone with more experience. I can look at the engine case for a Porsche RSR,934,935 or 962 race car and tell you what all the markings mean and even in some cases what team ran the case. But I own/owned and raced a bunch of those cars so I have that experience over time. With the Winters aluminum blocks I have no experience so none of the stampings ,"425" or "TO80 5 425 " and other markings mean if anything to me.
Also If I was to get the dock checked out and ready to build who would be the best machine shop to send it to?
