Don't give up. Just being objective. A COPO car is hard enough to prove as it is, and if it is a true real early COPO like you believe, you should stake your claim. I did see the M on the lower fender extension, but could not see the 427 markings. It could have been this for all we know. And honestly, the markings on the cowl weren't all that clear. If you cleaned it up and you can read it better, post up the photos.
