The "original" Pro Stock guys used to do that alot n the old days. Was for show or they actually wanted to look at the tire track thru the rosin. Grump used to do it back in the day. That is match racin baby!

I get opening the door after the burn out, and I get backing up with the door open to stay in the groove, but having an open door on launch seems a little strange to me.
