Thanks for jumping in Lloyd, needless to say neither one of us has spent any time on our cars this summer due to the "project" Sams description of the old building basically described the cars I restore as well.
What evolved over the past 5 months on our various skills was interesting as their was the occasional "good Grief", "WTF" and "really, are we building for a cat 5 hurricane?". The results will show.

The height (12') and width (~30') of the new 2 x 8 high bay wall framing necessitated 2 sections. As the large timber header beam had a distict "twist" to it, trying to tilt up, fit and align the header plates was...well...difficult hence the GMC Yukon powered solution.
Demo Begins on the High Bay wall: ![]() First Sticks of New Framing for the High Bay. Note the exposed vertical timber beam - a thing of the past: ![]() Our Good Friend MEJ Playing Pickup Stix: ![]() Another View of the First Section of Framing Installed - Exterior View ![]() Interior View of the First Section of framing with the original Slider Door still in place (blue edge) ![]() Full Back Wall Reframed, Slider Door eliminated and new Overhead Door relocated and roughed in. ![]() |
