factory drilled 2 piece rotors?

What is with the holes in these 69 Z rotors? balancing? service replacements?

So was it pretty random occurence Kurt, or a "during a certain month of the year" kind-of-thing at both plants?

Just as needed to balance the rotors. Mine have at least 4 holes.
