Bill left me a message the other day that he heard back from Police that the car had a appraisal that said "It might be a Yenko" and was valued at 125K. It was bought for 35K though and that is all the Insurance Co is willing to pay.

This is not the first time this has happened with this car. Bill was at SCR1 with his car, with a sign clearing stating that it was a clone. He later sold it, and shorty after that I got a call wanting to know about the car, if legit, etc. Seems the new owner had sold it, or was trying to sell it, as a real Yenko, using a pic from SCR1 as proof.

Is that the guy that was told to set up at the opposite end of the field from all the real ones?

Yes. When he and I discussed him attending, he agreed to park away from the real cars, and put a sign up stating it was a clone, which he did. A nice guy who was always upfront with me. The problem with the car arose after he sold it, and the next owner used a pic of it in Super Chevy at the SCR as proof it must be real. That is when I/we decided it best if we discouraged clones/tributes/replicas etc attending the reunion.

| Yenko Clone stolen Expected so but now the smoke's cleared, I thought it best clarify this VIN is the stolen Clone. Please correct me if wrong but unless found recently, this stolen clone is still missing. ~ Pete

It seems in the piece where he talks about how the car was stolen that he really pumps it up that the car is a genuine Yenko. Almost feels a little fishy
