I never tire of seeing bald eagles flying around here on sunny winter days. In Alaska they are as common as seagulls.

They are! I spent a month in Sitka, Alaska. Before I arrived I asked a friend if he saw any bald eagles. He said they're as common as New Yauk pigeons! They are something else to watch. I hope this isn't a case of intentional poisoning. If it was, I agree with TAZ, they need to be strung up.
