| Gen 5 COPO Horsepower

Does anyone know or have a good reference for the actual stock HP output of the Gen5 COPO Camaro engines?

It depends on which engine / class specification you want. The most powerful engine is a Blown 350ci which is designed to run 8.50 or slower as the cage is rated for 8.50s. COPO specs |

I'm most interested in what the 427 puts out....any word on the flywheel horsepower for those engines?

I've heard that it's 1,200 on the COPO 427, from someone who just picked theirs up this past Friday, from the plant.

Wonder why they stopped using the 4.0L Whipple.. Or am I misreading the info online? That would be a killer setup on a 350 or 396..
