I think I have this handled.
The NAPA store had a book of t-stats by dimensions, and an understanding and helpful employee. Gotta love the small town atmosphere here in Guthrie. Although none were 2 5/16 (or 2.3125) there was one that showed to be a bit larger, but it had a built in "O" ring on it. Application showed it was for a Cummins turbo diesel truck engine. I removed the built in "O" ring and it is right at 2.3125. Not sure why I am posting this, as hopefully there aren't any other knuckleheads on this site working on such an odd ball engine.
