Plastic Headlight Restoration

Do any of the headlight restoration products really work for more than a couple months?

I was told the Miskito spray called OFF or REPeLLANT was twice as good and last a lot longer. I haven't tried it yet myself. Spray on and wipe off

I ordered and used a kit from Griot's Garage that is still looking great. It involves sanding the lenses and then spraying on a clear spray, which hardens in sunlight (UV). When I got the lenses all sanded, my first thought was "Oh, crap, I've just screwed up my headlights!" Don't worry - the spray goes on smoothly and all of the sanding marks go away. It does take using 400, 1000 and 2000 grit paper, though. Take your time - still looks good after two years!!!

Thanks, I was looking at the Griot's Garage product. The kit only comes with the 600 grit.

The UV activated clear must be the ticket.

My lenses in my Grand Cherokee were yellowed and scratched. I used flexible rubber block and 600-2000 then 3000 trizac followed by plastic lens polish, when done they were crystal clear and looked great, after a year they are beginning to haze again.
I DID NOT USE ANY type of sealer or clear coat.
