Gentlemen I have always heard that the body needs to be braced before removing the complete floors like that because the body is so unstable. Is there any truth to that. Apparently Ricks comfortable with not doing it. Just looking for the knowledge. Rick glad to see that old tired beast is getting a second chance at life. Keep the pics coming!

The guy doing this rebuild for me had just finished doing an Olds Cutlass convertible.
Other than a couple braces to attach the cowl section to the rear inner quarters, he had the body sitting on jackstands just like this one is. That car is now a beautiful finished piece, that fits together like it should.
Obviously with the post sedan body, the extra bracing was not required.

Great point Rick never took in consideration the post for the bracing.

Great progress! That will be awesome when completed. Hopefully in the VERY near future you will have some extra room in your garage for work space

Are you guys talking about another L78 black post sedan in rough shape?

I'm following this thread closely because the topic is very familiar.
Keep the pics coming Rick.

Ryan,
I'm not sure if Rick's has vinyl or cloth interior.
