Really??? I think you are younger than me. They were going to let me donate (I was 59 at the time) but my blood pressure was too high. I was really bummed, as I hated for Sherri to be the donor. Zack's a bit of a momma's boy, and I knew he would need his mom during recovery. But it worked out OK with me taking care of both of them. Sherri's mom (just as much of an angel as Sherri) came and helped out for a week or two.

I know you will find a close match live donor eventually. It can happen. I know while we were waiting, we were instructed that we could get a call any time day or night, and we would have 45 min max to get Zack to Children's Hospital.
