So I take it the only way they will query their information is with a VIN? Seems like if I had the dealer, and the VIN of another COPO car shipped with the one I'm looking for, I should be able to retrieve its VIN? Am I correct that they won't execute this way?

Since they have the records in a database on a computer they could for example query the database on cars with a manufacturing month sent to a specific dealer and get a list of VIN's.

But depending on how they have made the interface to the database it might be difficult to get the data. My guess is that the interface only have a field for a VIN with a search button.

----Todd,,,Im fairly certain that NCRS feels that doing something like you propose would be helping a person profit from their information. Weather that's your case or not doesn't really matter to them.......Bill S

You could try asking them, it is possible with a manual database query for just that case.

----A person could try asking. No harm in that, but the leadership of NCRS has been known to be unco-operative, some might say notoriously unco-operative when asked to do things like this. It wasn't always this way. Early on, there were no hidden agendas, just a desire to hang around with likeminded Corvette friends and learn a thing or two. Just my opinion but I feel things have changed......Bill S

What the hell, I sent them a note and will see what they say. Can't hurt I guess although I'm not optimistic about a positive response.

Well, got an email back from them. It appears they "can't query multiple fields at the same time" in their "database." That's what I'd need in order to get what I'm looking for. I didn't pursue it any further as I already know how incensed I'll get about the technology side. The search goes on.....

Well, the guy who answered doesn't want to or can't do it. I know you can if you want :-)
