Default Re: Tone Blue

From what I remember decoding on the block, it was an 81 Camaro 350 4brl, 2 bolt mains. It was given to me when I was 10 by my uncle. The block was decked, bored .030 over. The heads were cut .014. New valves, springs, and guides. Flat top hypereutectic pistons, cast crank, -.010, rods, -.010. The cam is a .462 .469 lift. Double roller chain. Assembled by myself and my father. Machine work was done at a shop. Older Edelbrock valve covers and a c3b intake with a 600 Holley, Mallory Rev-Pol dual point ignition system. I rebuilt and set up the distributor as well. White ceramic coated Hooker headers.

The trans is out of a 76 Vette. Turbo 350. That trans was originally in my first Nova. Blew that up the night before my senior prom. Had it ever since. I took the whole thing apart first, just to see what damage I had done. Turned out to be a band and clutches. That was sent out to be rebuilt and checked. 1400rmp tci torque converter. No shift kit at the moment.

The rear is an 8.5 out of a 72 Nova that I upgraded to a 3.42 Eaton Posi. I rebuilt that and set that up myself. And a set of Lakewood slapper bars.

Too many of the guys know on this site that I am an alignment and exhaust system away from getting it on the road. It's been a 5yr labor of love and enjoyed juuuust about every minute of it. I met a lot of great people along the way and I still am. You all know who you are so far! I hope to meet many more.
