| Booster/ Master Cylinder

Hi guys. I want to replace the booster and master cylinder on my '70 SS Chevelle. Originally it looked like the only master cylinder was incorrect but on closer inspection I don't believe the booster is correct either. I would like either a restored original or a nice repro set up- should there be such a thing? What is everyone using out there? Thanks. Here is what is currently fitted to my car.

That master cylinder is definitely incorrect as you need a 5470409 'BB' cylinder. The booster should be a 9391. They can be found but are NOT cheap especially if restored. The Delco Moraine stamp should be on the lower left corner of the face of the booster and upside down. Repos are close but not exact and the stamping of the face has a more crisp appearance on all the stamped edges.

Thanks Rick. I was going to try Steve Gregori. http://www.brakeboosters.com/ Does he do master cylinders as well? Not sure about the repro stuff. Some of it doesn't have great reviews and I have have had some problems with a new set of repro hood hinges so I am a bit wary now.

Steve does a good job on boosters. He sells master cylinder cores but I do not believe he rebuilds them but I could be wrong. I do here at my shop if you need it. They are restored exactly as original though keep in mind the cylinder and cover can only be restored as nice as the core I receive. Also, lately every core that I receive needs a sleeve and that is expensive. Pictured is a finished cylinder. Though not a Chevelle you get the idea.
