I kid you not, there is a driveway just down the street from me that has the studded snow tire grooves that I left there over 40 years ago with my 67 SS Camaro.. My best friend lived there, now deceased, and his dad had a fit when he seen the grooves. I smile everytime I see them. OK, back to topic at hand.
